Florida Traffic School Classroom Information
If you've never taken the Basic Driver Improvement Course in the classroom, this page is for you. This section will tell you how our classroom traffic school course works in easy steps.
Our classroom traffic school course is user-friendly and utilizes an easy-to-follow, step-by-step process. Students of all ages and levels of experience have completed our course, and you can too!
Step 1. Register for Florida Classroom Traffic School.
To reserve your seat for the Florida Basic Driver Improvement Classroom course, view the classroom locations above and select a FL Traffic School location.
Step 2. Complete the registration form.
When you register for classroom traffic school, you will be asked to enter the following information:
- Name, Email Address, Address, Phone
- Date of Birth and Gender
- Drivers License Number, Ticket County and Citation Number
The citation number is printed on your ticket and is seven characters long. Do NOT include the last "check digit" of the citation number. For example: 1234ABC or 123456A.
If you do not know your citation number, contact the clerk of court in the county where you received your traffic ticket.
Step 3. Attend the course.
Arrive early on the day of the course. By state law, late arrivals must reschedule the course. Bring a pen and your identification. Our instructors are certified by the state of Florida to teach the Basic Driver Improvement course. Many students enjoy the interactive nature of the traffic school classroom.
Step 4. Receive your FL Traffic School certificate.
We will send you your certificate within one business day of when you complete the course.
If you like, you may contact us to select overnight delivery for a nominal fee.
If you are under the purview of the Florida state DMV, you may elect to obtain your certificate by email by providing a fee to our online Florida traffic school fulfillment center.
Step 5. Submit your Traffic School certificate to the Clerk of Court.
It is your responsibility to submit your certificate to the county clerk in the county where you received your ticket. Be sure to submit it before your deadline.
